Grasslands, Timber and Fire. A Symposium
from 14 to 15 October 2009 in Bishopstowe, Pietermaritzburg
The SANBI National Grasslands Programme and the Grassland Society of Southern Africa are proud to host a symposium focusing on improving our understanding of the ecology and management of grasslands, and their related ecosystems, that are associated with timber plantations. A central theme is fire behaviour, fire ecology, and fire management.

Venue
The symposium will be held at Bishopstowe Farmers Hall, a venue in the sugar-farming district on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Pietermaritzburg is approximately one hour’s drive from Durban.
